We are a small but mighty collective of queers.
Queer Hands is a 501(c)3 non-profit and collective that exists to uplift marginalized communities and contribute to collective liberation. We strive to provide accessible handy services and other forms of support to those in Atlanta and beyond.
Mission Statement: Queer Hands is your trusted source for all kinds of handy work and odd jobs, tailored to meet the needs of our local queer community. Whether it's repairs, maintenance, lawn care, moving assistance, junk removal, cleaning, organizing, pet care, or even child care—you can count on us to help with it all!
As a queer-powered trans-led worker cooperative, we're passionate about fostering safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces for everyone. Every job we take on is done with care, love, and a deep sense of community. We're not just here to get the job done—we're here to build connections and offer support to those who need it most.
Serving Atlanta and the surrounding areas (the stolen colonized land of Muscogee (Creek) and Cherokee peoples), Queer Hands is proud to offer high-quality, queer-centered services that make a difference. If you're looking for reliable, compassionate help with a personal touch, we’d love to lend you a hand!
Let’s build a network of trusted, queer-centered services that empower the community and foster connections, inclusion, and mutual support.

We are currently working on becoming insured. This is an expensive process, especially for all the types of work we cover. In the meantime we are able to complete specialized contractor work up to a certain amount, per Georgia law.
-
We have open and transparent pricing.
Our regular rate for all types of work is $65 an hour with a one hour minimum.
$20 of this goes towards Queer Hands, $5 towards tools we acquire and maintain, and the other $40 to the Hand that completes the work.We also offer community rates for those in need. We are able to provide this while still paying the Hand the same rate because of donations and grants.

Yes, we do provide free estimates. Often times estimates take us researching the best pricing on materials, what craftsmanship suits your project best, and your timeline. We put a lot of thought and care into what we do.

If a project is less than a full day, then we charge our hourly rate of $65 per Hand.
We do offer quotes for larger projects that involve a flat rate for a specific gig. -
It is not necessary to be home, but we need someone to be home for consultations on larger projects. You may arrange for us to gain access to your property and to lock it after we leave. If you are out-of-state, we can provide pictures of the finished job.
-
We require a deposit of 50% of your estimate when you sign to approve the estimate and waivers. If this is not possible for you, please reach out so we can work together to find something that works well for you.
